As a lifelong resident of the City of Holyoke, I know firsthand the strengths that we share as a community and the challenges that we face. With more than a decade of experience serving on the Holyoke School Committee, I know what it takes to find solutions to complex issues and problems and to work with people to get things done. We need to create economic opportunities and invest in our infrastructure that will help strengthen our City for the future.
Renewed Commitment to City Infrastructure

If we want Holyoke to be prepared to meet our current and future challenges, we need a renewed commitment to strengthening our City's infrastructure. This means developing plans to ensure we are financially secured and investing in education and public safety.

As Mayor, I will ensure that we develop responsible financial plans and invest in infrastructures that will support our City. On Day One, I will take the following steps:

  • Conduct a full need's assessment of City-owned property.

  • Create a Capital Improvements Advisory Committee that is composed of members of each ward of the City.

  • Conduct a full review of the City's finances to ensure that the available budget is meeting the needs of taxpayers.

  • Establish a clear communication approach when an interruption in City services may occur.

  • Meet with Police and Fire Officials to develop a proposal to ensure that our public safety departments have the training and funding to keep our City safe.

Economic Development

As a Gateway City, Holyoke must provide opportunities for economic growth and development. We must ensure that our City is marketable and welcoming for businesses and families. Additionally, we continue to navigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has had on our economy. We must help our local businesses recover while encouraging new businesses to come into the City.

As your Mayor, I will work to cultivate positive and open relationships with new and existing businesses.

On Day One, I will take the following steps:

  • Work closely with the Office of Planning and Economic Development to create a marketing plan to ensure current and prospective business owners know that Holyoke is welcoming and ready for their business.

  • Work with the City Council to review current ordinances to ensure the business development process is streamlined and welcoming to new and current businesses.

  • Equip the Office of Planning and Economic Development with the tools to market both the City and privately owned properties to expand the tax base.

Community Matters

In Holyoke, we know that we are at our best when we engage all members of our community. We know we are a diverse community with a history of traditions and celebrations. While we may have differences of opinions, we know that community matters.

As your Mayor, I will work closely with the City Council, City Hall staff, and other partners to build strong relationships that will help us accomplish our financial goals.
